Youth

We offer clay wheel throwing and hand building parties for children aged 8 and up. We are working with greenware, which is wet clay. Participants in wheel throwing will be introduced to the pottery wheel that has an electric foot pedal. Hand Building is learning how to pinch, coil, and slab pieces out of clay. Since this is wet clay, it needs to dry for a week or so before we can bisque fire it. After it has been bisque fired, it is ready to be glazed. We offer two options. Click here for more details.

We offer clay hand building parties for children aged 5 to 7. In this age group, we take a different approach. Rather than working with greenware, we'll introduce the hand building methods such as pinch, coil and slab using white Crayola clay. This allows the participants to take their pieces home that time and let it dry 24 to 48 hours at home. Then they can paint it with acrylic paint! This party runs about two hours. Teens and Adults

Wheel Throwing and Hand Building Group Parties available for teens and adults. Participants will be introduced to the pottery wheel or to the hand building methods. Clay will have to remain at the studio afterwards so that it can be bisque fired and glazed. Click here for more details.

Painting Party
