SPRING CLASSES
TEENS and ADULTS
NEW! ~ Clay Sampler
Instructor: Marilyn Appleman
Over the course of eight weeks, students will have an opportunity to explore various approaches with ceramics: wheel throwing at the pottery wheel, hand building techniques, and tile making. At the end, participants will have completed at least four projects. All levels - beginners and experienced welcome. Everything is provided: instruction, clay, firing and glazing.
Cost: $225 (eight sessions)
Class meets on Mondays: First day of class is March 26, and the last day of class is May 14.

Introduction to Wheel Throwing
Instructor: Colleen Davis
Learn the basics of wheel throwing - This class is for beginners only. Students will focus on wedging, shaping, trimming, simple glazing techniques and studio safety. This course is recommended for those who have not taken wheel throwing.
Cost: $170/eight sessions
Sessions includes clay, use of pottery wheel equipment, tools, firing and glazing provided.
We offer the following TWO days:

TEENS and ADULTS
Introduction to Wheel Throwing

TEENS and ADULTS
Intermediate Wheel Throwing
Instructor: Frank Dulin
This is course is offered to for students who have been taking beginners wheel throwing and want to develop their skills to the next level at wheel throwing. Students will continue to throw pots, bowls, vases, cups, and plates.
Class meets on Thursday evenings- First day of class is March 29. Last day of class is May 17.
Time: 6 – 9 pm
Cost: $170/eight sessions

TEENS and ADULTS
Hand Building Techniques with Clay
An alternative or a supplement to the potter's wheel. In hand building, students will be introduced to several methods o constructing with clay. We will show you projects involving slabs, coils, pinch and extruded shapes. Projects include platters, large bowls, vases and whatever else we can come up with. Students will learn how to glaze their pieces as well.
Cost: $140/six sessions
Sessions includes clay, use of slab roller, extruder, tools, firing and glazing provided

ADULTS
CLAY TILE MAKING
Instructor: Marilyn Appleman
In this course students will learn to create handmade tiles using a variety of methods including slabs, press molds, and bisque stamps. .Emphasis will be placed creating textural surfaces and bas-relief designs with clay.
Beginners are welcome as well as students with clay experience.
Wednesday Evenings (First day of class is March 28. Last day of class is May 2.)
Time: 6:30 to 8:30 pm

THURSDAY EVENING: TEENS and ADULTS
With one-on-one guidance, students will develop their skills in drawing and painting. They will have an opportunity to explore acrylic, oils, and watercolor. Students are responsible for their own materials. A material list can be provided.
Cost: $60 (four sessions)
Time: 6 to 8 pm
